O'Brien - Assistant County AttorneyCrI?G/ <br />DATE: April 22, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING - 4/28/92 - "Chapter 20 - Sheriff and <br />Law Enforcement" <br />"Chapter 20 - Sheriff and Law Enforcement" of the 1974 edition of the <br />Code is not longer necessary and should be repealed. <br />The first section of the Chapter is a Special Act which will become part <br />of the appendix to the new code. This appendix is a compilation of all <br />Special Acts affecting Indian River County. The second section <br />concerns liability insurance for sheriff's department vehicle which <br />should be handled as an administrative matter. The third and final <br />section is controlled by Florida Statutes. <br />REQUEST: <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached proposed ordinance and <br />authorization for the Chairman to sign. <br />38 <br />
