_I <br />VA 28 1992 <br />BOOK 86 <br />The attached Amendment No. 3 provides for Kimley-Horn to <br />investigate field changes, make plan revisions and re -stake <br />lake areas as required to provide final certification of the <br />completed project. <br />The compensation due the Consultant for Amendment No. 3 is <br />$1,450. This, added to the current contract amount of <br />$82,160 will result in a new contract amount of. $83,610. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to <br />sign the attached Amendment No. 3. In addition to the original contract amount <br />of 13,188 CY of subsoil excavation, 35,240 CY of unsuitable <br />soil has been excavated. This additional material was <br />mixed with 17,000 CY of embankment material and placed <br />outside the roadway on the side slopes and berms. <br />68 <br />
