To calculate the vehicle miles of capacity (VMC) per lane mile of constructed future roadway, an analysis of the 2035 projects (see Appendix C, Table C-17) was conducted to reflect the mix of county and state road improvement that will be built in the future. As shown in Table IX-4, the resulting average capacity per lane mile calculated based on these projects is 8,255. The updated capacity added per lane mile estimate of 8,255 is approximately three percent less than the figure used in the 2004 Traffic Impact Fee Study.
