MAY 112 1992 <br />BOOK PAGE 4 <br />Chairman Eggert read aloud the following Proclamation and <br />presented it to Emergency Medical Services Chief Jim Judge: <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING MAY 10 THROUGH 16, 1992 <br />AS <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WEEK <br />WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams <br />provide life-saving medical care, often under highly stressful <br />conditions and in life-threatening situations, thereby risking <br />their loves to save the lives of others; and <br />WHEREAS, around-the-clock emergency medical services are <br />made available through the efforts of dedicated volunteers, first <br />responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency <br />nurses and physicians; and <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of, and visitors to Indian River <br />County benefit daily from the knowledge and skill of these <br />trained individuals; and <br />WHEREAS, it Is critical that the general public be made <br />aware of, -understand, support and effectively use Its local <br />emergency medical services system; and <br />WHEREAS, recognition is due to all members of emergency <br />medical services teams for their unselfish dedication to all <br />residents of Indian River County: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Florida that the week of <br />May 10 - 16, 1992 be designated as <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WEEK <br />in Indian River County, with a special emphasis on encouraging <br />the people of Indian River County to observe this week with <br />appropriate programs, ceremonies and activities. <br />Adopted this 12 day of May, 1992. <br />2 <br />= BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />aro yn .��gg-ers • Chaff Aman <br />
