"SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVIC <br />FROM: LYNN WILLIAMS, SUPT. <br />SUPERINTENDENT OF BUILDINGSG4NDS <br />DATE: MAY 13, 1992 <br />BOOK Li" b P,E 4bCS <br />SUBJECT: CHANGE ORDER 1, MAIN LIBRARY PARKING, PHASE II <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The bid for construction of the Phase II Parking Lot at the <br />Main Library was approved at the February 4, 1992 meeting. The <br />amount of the original dontract was $41,972.00. --- <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />Subsequent to award of the bid and commencement of the <br />project, the Vero Beach Department of Engineering recommended that <br />a portion of the replacement curbing be deleted from the contract. <br />The City stated that improvements proposed for 21st Street would <br />include this work. <br />Staff issued Change Order #1 to delete a portion of the curb <br />work and approximately fifty lineal feet of sidewalk that did not <br />require replacement. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING: <br />Staff recommends approval of Change Order #1 to the Main <br />Library Parking Phase II contract in the amount of ($1,084.00) <br />deduct. Adjusted contract amount will be $40,888.00. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously (4-1, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) approved Change <br />Order #1 to the Main Library Parking Phase II <br />contract for an adjusted contract amount of <br />$40,888.00, as recommended by staff. <br />SAID CHANGE ORDER <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />H.
