MAY ig 1992 <br />BOOK 6,6 Pa - E ' , <br />ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis explained that Resolution <br />92-79 is in support of the Environmental Learning Center. The <br />funds would be used to continue the building program. <br />Commissioner Bowman clarified that the resolution indicates <br />that the County can endorse applications to FIND. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously (4-1, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) adopted Resolution <br />92-79 for assistance under the Florida Inland <br />Navigation District Waterways Assistance Program, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-79 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVI- <br />GATION DISTRICT WATERWAYS ASSISTANCE. PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County is interested in carrying out the following <br />described project for the enjoyment of the citizenry of <br />Indian River County, and the State of Florida: <br />Project Title: Environmental Learning Center <br />Total Estimated Cost: $60,000 <br />Brief Description of Project: Completion of the upland <br />and wetland interpretive trail system at the <br />Environmental Learning Center including elevated wooden <br />boardwalks, on the ground nature trails and extensive <br />explanatory signage identifying the natural features of <br />the aquatic system. <br />AND, Florida Inland Navigation District financial <br />assistance is required for the program mentioned above, <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County that the project <br />described above be authorized, <br />28 <br />
