UW -92 -07 -DS <br />BACK <br />GROUND <br />On March 25, 1992, the Department of Utility Services received five <br />(5) responses to the Requemt for Proposal to provide professional - <br />engineering services for design, inspection, and project <br />administration of the above -referenced project. The selection <br />committee reviewed the five (5) responses and selected three (3) <br />firms to be interviewed for the project. <br />ANALYSIS <br />On May 4, 1992, the selection committee interviewed the three (3) <br />firms. As a result of the interviews, the firms were ranked as <br />follows: <br />1. Mock, Roos and Associates, Inc. <br />2. Masteller and Moler, Inc. <br />3. Glace and Radcliffe, Inc. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners authorize the Department of Utility Services to <br />conduct negotiations and proceed with an agreement with the <br />first -choice firm of Mock, Roos and Associates, Inc., based upon the <br />outcome of_- the negotiations. The Department further requests <br />approval to proceed with negotiations with the second or third firm <br />if negotiations with the first firm fail. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-1, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) authorized staff to <br />conduct negotiations and proceed with an agreement <br />for professional engineering services for the <br />Roseland Water Tower Project, as outlined in staff's <br />memo. <br />33 <br />MAY 1 199, �,J,r r" -A 11J)o <br />
