ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Wheeler being absent) approved staff's <br />recommendations for consultants and funding for the <br />various projects as set out in the above staff <br />recommendation. <br />FULL TIME RESIDENT INSPECTION SERVICES FOR INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD <br />PHASE IV <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/20/92: <br />TO: James E. Davis, P.E.,. <br />C� <br />Public Works rt' <br />SUBJECT: Full Time Resident Inspection Services for <br />Indian River Boulevard Phase IV <br />DATE: May 20, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />FILE: inspect.agn <br />To provide construction inspection services for Indian River <br />Boulevard Phase 4 (37th Street to 53rd St), Staff has considered <br />two options as follows: <br />Option No. 1 - Contract with a consulting firm for full <br />time resident inspection services as was the method for <br />Indian River Boulevard Phase III. For that project (1 year <br />construction period), the cost to the County was $48/hr or <br />$99,840. <br />Option No. 2 - Hire or contract with a qualified individual <br />who has construction inspection qualifications and <br />experience. Preferably, a retired Florida DOT inspector or <br />similarly qualified individual would be a likely candidate. <br />29 <br />MAY 26 1992 <br />
