O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney ' '`i <br />. <br />DATE: May 26, 1992 <br />RE: REPEAL OF CHAPTER 8 - FIREARMS <br />This Chapter 8 has been preempted by Section 790.33, Florida Statutes. <br />This section of the Florida Statutes has in .effect declared Chapter 8 <br />null and void. The repeal, therefore, is more editorial than <br />substantive. <br />A public hearing date of June 30, 1992 is suggested. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />scheduled a public hearing on June 30, 1992 to <br />discuss the repeal of Chapter 8 - Firearms, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />D.
