LETTER: Letter from Perry Pisani to Margaret Gunter dated <br />May 29, 1992 <br />DATE: June 2, 1992 <br />The residents of the one hundred block of Fourteenth Avenue are <br />requesting permission to close a portion of 14th Avenue between <br />1st Street SW and 2nd Street on the Fourth of July from 4:00 PM <br />to 10:00 PM for their eleventh annual Fourth of July Celebration. <br />Staff has no objection to this request, provided that: <br />1) Celebration representative(s) contact Mr. Bruce Haas at the <br />Traffic Engineering Division at 569-5143 seventy-two hours <br />prior to the event. Proper barricades, furnished by the <br />Traffic Engineering Division, are installed by the <br />Celebration representative(s) and returned by the Celebration <br />representative(s) seventy-two hours after the event. <br />2) A representative be listed as a contact person in charge of <br />the event in case the road needs to be opened. <br />3) Access to emergency vehicles be maintained. <br />Staff recommends approval. No funding is applicable. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the closing of a portion of 14th Avenue between 1st <br />and 2nd Streets S.W., from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br />on July 4, 1992, as recommended by staff. <br />MI <br />JUN 16 1992 <br />
