jug ie 199 aoo�� <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />In reviewing this request, staff has the following concerns: <br />1) The existing private right-of-way along 53rd Avenue is only <br />30' wide along the first 1000' section, however a 10' <br />easement on each side of the road accommodates drainage <br />swales. <br />2) Grading and maintenance of the existing drainage system may <br />be required prior to acceptance by the County. <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize staff to pursue this project, develop a cost <br />estimate and assessment roll, and schedule a public hearing. <br />This project will be placed at the end of the existing <br />petition paving list and will be scheduled after earlier <br />projects are implemented. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the request. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Alternative No. 1 is recommended. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to pursue this project to resurface and repair <br />53rd Avenue south of 16th Street, as set out in <br />staff memo Alternative No. 1. <br />TAKEOVER AND OPERATION OF THOMPSON ELEMENTARY WASTEWATER PLANT AND <br />SEBASTIAN MIDDLE SCHOOL WATER PLANT PRIOR TO CONNECTION TO COUNTY <br />SYSTEM <br />The Board reviewed memo from Utility Services birector Terry <br />Pinto dated June 5, 1992: <br />38 <br />
