CHASTA <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ASS S PROJECTS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF U LIT <br />SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: WATER SERVICE IN COURTSIDE SUBDIVISION <br />(38TH SQUARE, SW - NORTH OFF 5TH STREET, SW) <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -92 -02 -DS <br />RESOLUTIONS I AND II <br />BACKGROUND <br />On November 19, 1991, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved the petition for water service for Courtside <br />Subdivision/38th Square, SW. Design service has been completed by <br />the Department of Utility Services staff. We are now ready to begin <br />the assessment process associated with this project. (See attached <br />agenda item and minutes.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />Attached are Resolutions I and II for the assessment project. The <br />total estimated construction cost, including engineering and <br />administration of the project is $64,365.00, which is the total <br />estimated cost to be assessed. The cost per square foot is <br />$0.10326421778, and the project will serve 29 properties on 38th <br />Square. <br />Twelve of the twenty-nine lots in this project are substandard or <br />"undersized," according to Indian River County's Comprehensive Plan <br />and the County Public Health Unit, Division of Environmental Health, <br />which require that new lots utilizing well and septic systems be a <br />minimum of one-half acre. Lots not meeting these minimum standards <br />are called "undersized lots.,, <br />The attached map displays <br />project. <br />RECOATION <br />the area to benefit from the assessment <br />The staff of the Department of Utility'Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Resolutions and <br />set the assessment hearing date. <br />41 <br />BOOK 6,19 <br />
