11.8 COUNTY SHARE OF COST FOR MEDICAID SERVICES <br /> Indian Rid Ter County BCC SUPPORTED legislation which would establish a 3% cap on growth in <br /> the individual county Nledicaid costs under s. 409.915, F.S., and OPPOSED efforts to further shift <br /> state Medicaid costs to counties. <br /> I <br /> 1.9 UTILITY RELOCATION <br /> Indian River County BCC OPPOSED legislation requiring counties to pay for the relocation of pri- <br /> vate utilities when such utilities are located within a county-owned right-of-way and must be moved to <br /> accommodate a county project. <br /> 1.10 TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAXES <br /> Indian Riyer County BCC OPPOSED legislation which would mandate local governments to redirect <br /> a portion, of the locally-collected tourist development tax funds away from the promotion of local <br /> tourism, and OPPOSED legislation which redirects a percentage of tourist development tax funds <br /> collected by local governments to support Visit Florida. <br /> 1.11 DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE <br /> Indian River County BCC SUPPORTED legislation which would modify the State of Florida's Cost <br /> Sharing Program for secured juvenile detention so that the non-fiscally constrained counties would <br /> pay no mi ore than 50% of the actual costs associated with juveniles who reside within their jurisdiction. <br /> i <br /> 3 15 <br />
