<br />Approval of this request will remove all Scott Air Packs from the
<br />inventory of the Department while receiving ten (10) MSA composite
<br />tanks from the South Venice Fire Department with a value of
<br />approximately $3,000. This figure is based on the fact that MSA
<br />tanks cost $400 new and used ones sell for $300.
<br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS
<br />Staff has a concern if the property should be advertised for sale to
<br />the general public regarding potential liability. Each of the
<br />agencies referenced above has agreed to sign a release of liability
<br />as it relates to the Scott Air Packs. If the staff recommendation is
<br />approved by the Board, the County Attorney will prepare the necessary
<br />legal documents to secure the release of liability. _
<br />Staff recommends the Board declare the Scott Air Packs as surplus and
<br />authorize the equipment to be transferred as referenced above
<br />contingent upon the receipt of the necessary release of liability.
<br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by
<br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously declared
<br />the Scott Air Packs surplus and authorized the
<br />equipment to be transferred, as set out in staff's
<br />memo.
<br />ESCAMBIA HOUSING MORTGAGE PROGRAM
<br />The Board reviewed memo from OMB Director Joe Baird dated July
