Hough and Company are requesting that we wave our Industrial Revenue Bond <br />fees in order to participate in the Escambia Housing Mortgage Program. Last year when <br />we participated, we were the only county that requested any fees. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously waived <br />the fee because this program is for affordable <br />housing and not a normal industrial revenue bond for <br />the private sector. <br />REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO SIGN CONTRACT: ISSUANCE OF NOTICE TO <br />PROCEED - BARBER AVENUE (37TH STREET) WIDENING AND DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />The Board reviewed memo from Public Works Director Jim Davis <br />dated July 1, 1992: <br />TO: James E. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Request for Authorization to Sign Contract; <br />Issuance of Notice to Proceed - <br />Barber Avenue (37th Street) <br />Widening and Drainage Improvements <br />DATE: July 1, 1992 FILE: barbrcon.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On May 26, 1992 the Board approved staff's recommendation of <br />H.F. Lenz Company: for the project listed above. A short form <br />contract has been prepared for signature by the Chairman. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Chairman be authorized to sign the <br />contract and that the Public Works Department be authorized to <br />issue a Notice to Proceed.
