Board of County Commissioners <br />August 10, 2016 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />8. Depreciation expenses are higher than anticipated in Information Technology. The attached <br />entry appropriates funding of $60,000 from Information Technology/Cash Forward -Oct 1st. <br />9. On July 12, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved the 2016/2017 State Funded <br />Subgrant Agreement to Update Indian River County's Hazard Analysis. The attached entry <br />appropriates the $3,388.00 grant. <br />10. On June 14, 2016, the Board of County Commissions approved Indian River County to make <br />an advance payment to the OPEB Trust Fund. The attached entry appropriates the $9 million. <br />11. Indian River County Libraries have received donations totaling $10,399. The attached entry <br />appropriates these donations. <br />12. Indian River County Emergency Management is launching a new emergency preparedness <br />app: Indian River Alert & Prepare. Citizens will be able to receive assistance with creating a <br />personalized emergency plan, learn the locations of public shelters, view evacuation routes <br />and much more. To accommodate our Spanish-speaking community, we have added the <br />Spanish version of the app. The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount of $3,000 <br />from General Fund/Cash Forward -Oct 1St <br />13. On March 15, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved the millings installation for <br />51s' Avenue Petition Millings Project in the Winter Beach Highlands Subdivision. The attached <br />entry appropriates the assessment. <br />14. Section 8 Housing Assistance has received additional grants for FY 15/16. The attached entry <br />appropriates funding of $15,000 for Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), $150,000 for <br />HUD Low Income Housing Assistance (HAP) and $5,200 for HUD -Admin Fee (HAP -Admin). <br />15. The Courthouse chillers are in need of replacement. The attached entry appropriates funding <br />in the amount of $438,986 from Optional Sales Tax/Cash Forward Oct 1st <br />16. It has become necessary to replace an air conditioning unit at the Emergency <br />Operations Center (EOC) in the amount of $5,088.
