are doing since construction would not begin for several months. <br />Commissioner Scurlock stressed that Mr. Cassara said that the <br />grade stakes. have been set and a major amount of work has been <br />done, and Mr. Cassara confirmed that they are bringing in dirt and <br />leveling if off to certain heights. He believed they are getting <br />ready for a job; if not, then they are wasting a lot of the <br />taxpayers' money. <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis advised that we have received <br />some complaints from people in the area and we are trying to <br />alleviate some drainage problems. The design and the permitting <br />for the actual paving of the road have not progressed to the point <br />where we can go out there and stake out the complete project that <br />is before the Board this morning. There are some existing drainage <br />patterns and the final design will conform to those patterns. We <br />had the alternative of waiting until all the permitting is <br />completed for the project, or doing the maintenance work now, and <br />we elected to do the maintenance work at this time.
