G. REVISIONS, ADDENDUM NO. 1 <br />Old Dixie Highway between IRFWCD North Relief Canal and 71st Street <br />Phase 1 = Old Dixie Hwy between North Relief Canal and 69th Street <br />Phase 2 = Old Dixie Hwy between 69th Street and 71st Street <br />All projects and work within Indian River County right-of-way shall have an approved <br />Traffic Control Plan (TCP). All work shall be executed under the established TCP and <br />Indian River County approved procedures. The TCP shall provide the proposed detour <br />route, traffic control devices, and other pertinent information for the proposed Old <br />Dixie Highway Resurfacing Project and shall be submitted for review and approval by <br />the Public Works Department. <br />The FDOT Design Standards, Indices 600, 2010 do not include a Traffic Control Plan for <br />a full road closure. For full road closures, a TCP is required to be submitted by the <br />contractor a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the proposed road closure. <br />All traffic control devices shall be in accordance with the Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT) Design Standards, Indices 600, 2010, the Manual on Uniform <br />Traffic Control Devices, 2009 Edition, and Indian River County Typical Drawings for <br />Signing, Pavement Markings, and Geometrics, latest edition. <br />Indian River County will not allow the closure of Old Dixie Highway without an <br />approved Traffic Control Plan. <br />Detour routes will be established via 53rd Street, 69th Street, County Road 510, and US <br />Highway 1. <br />Please place the following regulations on the TCP: <br />1. All signs to be ground mounted and have lights and flags. <br />2. No open excavations after dark. <br />3. All barricades to have lights. <br />4. Place a note on the TCP to state: All work shall comply with the 2014 FDOT's <br />Design Standards, Indices 600, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control <br />Devices, and in accordance with Indian River County requirements. <br />5. Access to property owners as well as emergency access will be maintained at <br />all times. <br />6. Local Traffic Only signs as well as twenty (20) specialty signs stating; "Old Dixie <br />Closed at XXSt" and/or a similar message will be required along side <br />streets and at major intersections. <br />7.
