November 8.2O13 <br />Rev December 3, 2013 <br />Rev August 8, 2014 <br />Rev August 11.2014 <br />James Gray <br />Indian River County <br />Public Works - Coastal Engineering Division <br />1801 27th St, Building A <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />CB&I Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc. <br />2481NVVBoca Raton Blvd <br />EXHIBIT 1 Boca Raton, FL 33431 <br />Tel: +1 561 3918102 <br />Fax: +1 561 391 8116 <br />www CBI corn <br />Subject: Work Order #7 <br />|odiamRiverCountySectmr3Dume Repair P'ect <br />Construction Phase Services <br />Dear James. <br />The County received the necessary FDEP and USACE permits to repair damages sustained within the <br />Sector 3 Beach and Dune Project onam during Hurricane Sandy CB&I is providing services to the <br />County under WO#6 (Pre -Construction Phase Services) to assist with bid solicitation and pre - <br />construction requirements Construction of the project is anticipated to commence in November 2014. <br />This proposal outlines a scope of work for CB&I Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc (CB&I), f/k/a <br />Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc to provide construction phase services for the Sector 3 Dune <br />Repair Project. <br />Task 1: Project Redesign <br />The Contractor will be required to conduct and submit a pre -construction survey of the project area. <br />CB&I will review this data for @oouoacy, overlay the bid template on the updated survey data, and <br />calculate the fill volume There will be a difference in the bid volume and updated fill volume due to <br />inclusion of more closely spaced lines for the pre -construction survey and changes in the beach profile <br />since the July 2013 survey. {}B&| will discuss the updated fiU volume with the County and revise the <br />construction template to meet the County's budget. A revised template for each pay profile will be <br />provided to the Contractor in spreadsheet format. This will be completed within one week of receipt of <br />the final pre -construction survey data <br />The cost to redesign the project upon receipt of the updated pre -construction survey is $2.550. A <br />breakdown of the hours and expenses to develop these costs is attached and follow the terms of <br />CB&I's agreement with Indian River County <br />Task 2: Weekly Construction Progress Meetings and Site Observations <br />CB&I will coordinate and conduct weekly construction progress meetings with the County and <br />Contractor. CB&I will direct the nneetng, covering work progress and schedu|e, conformance to plans <br />and spech5cetiuna, and other relevant issues that need to be addressed.
