The proposed budget for this task accounts for up to fourteen (14) <br />construction progress meetings <br />David Swigler, PE, will attend and conduct these weekly meetings If necessary, Gordon Thomson, <br />PE, D CE., will attend these meetings once per month with Dave for a total of four (4) meetings. <br />Prior to each meeting, CB&I will conduct a site visit to observe areas under active construction, staging <br />areas, and access points. Recently completed beach sections will be observed for general <br />conformance with the plans and specifications <br />In situ sand samples will be collected and stored for up to one year Twelve (12) samples will be <br />analyzed for grain size, silt content, carbonate content, and Munsell color to ensure conformance of the <br />fill material with permit conditions. CB&I will also review Contractor provided analyses for conformance <br />with permit conditions. <br />The cost to perform weekly progress meeting and perform and document site observations is $23,400 <br />A breakdown of the hours and expenses to develop these costs is attached and follow the terms of <br />CB&I's agreement with Indian River County <br />Task 3: Construction Administration <br />CB&I will provide any necessary interpretations or clarifications of the contract documents requested by <br />the Contractor through the County CB&I will also make determinations on non -conforming and <br />unauthorized work as authorized in the project plans and specifications CB&I will assist the County to <br />prepare field changes or change orders requested by the Contractor, recommended for approval by <br />CB&I and agreed to by the County These documents will be submitted electronically in PDF format <br />unless they must be sealed, at which point a hard copy will be provided along with an electronic copy at <br />the time of issuance This scope of work is based on the assumption that there will be three (3) change <br />orders and two (2) field adjustments <br />CB&I will review and respond to correspondence from the Contractor through the County on an as <br />needed basis CB&I will also respond to Contractor questions via phone If the questions are <br />sufficiently technical or the response may deviate from the plans and specifications, CB&I will <br />document these conversations and circulate a summary to the County and Contractor via e-mail CB&I <br />may require that the Contractor submit an official contract change. <br />During construction, CB&I will confer with the County, the Contractor, FDEP, and USACE staff to <br />review and document that the County has fulfilled reporting requirements cited in the permits CB&I <br />will. <br />(a) Prepare a tabular summary of specific permit conditions and requirements for each applicable <br />permit and the required date for compliance. <br />(b) Assist the County with documentation of permit compliance <br />
