Thomas Yancy, who bought the tax certificate on this property in 1991, was concerned that he might have to pay the demolition costs on this structure because the demolition might cost more than what he paid for the property. ON.MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously authorized the demolition of the structure listed above. Commissioner Scurlock asked what we would do if an owner doesn't have the money to pay for demolition, and Attorney Vitunac advised that he believed we could place a lien on other property owned by the owner.
