CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: _ TERRANCE G. PINTO _ <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILI ERVICES <br />PREPARED TERRY H. DRUM (4fJ <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BID NO. 91-113/LABOR CONTRACT <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 6, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />award of the labor contract bid to Driveways, Inc. (Bid No. 91-113). <br />(See attached minutes.) The Department of Utility Services proposes <br />to extend this labor contract for a period of one year. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The Department of Utility Services suggests that by utilizing the <br />previously approved labor contract, it will be possible to maintain <br />a lower, cost effective price in regard to the renewal and <br />replacement of water lines, which are outlined in the current labor <br />contract. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve a one (1) year labor contract <br />extension with Driveways, Inc., as approved on August 6, 1991 (see <br />attached previously approved bid proposal package). <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved a <br />1 -year extension of the labor contract with <br />Driveways, Inc., which was approved on August 6, <br />1991, as recommended by staff. <br />8 <br />
