3.4 and observed that while the Professional Services Advisory <br />Committee has good people, we should urge staff to take the <br />initiative and not depend on the committee members exclusively <br />because staff deals with these policies on a regular basis. He <br />suggested the addition of "county staff" in that policy. <br />County Administrator Jim Chandler agreed that is one of the <br />aspects of the plan that have been recognized and are being <br />studied, and staff will be reporting on those points. <br />Community Development Director Bob Keating directed the <br />Board's attention to Policy 3.3 which concerns County participation <br />with the private sector; Policy 2.2 which concerns developing an <br />industrial park; and Policy 4.1 which involves providing funding <br />for promotional activities. Mr. Keating felt these are areas on <br />which the Board may want to focus. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the conceptual plan of the Revised Goals, Objectives <br />and Policies of the Overall Economic Development <br />Plan, as revised to include "the county staff" in <br />Policy 3.4. <br />APPROVAL OF BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br />PHYSIO -CONTROL <br />The Board reviewed memo from Emergency Services Director Doug <br />Wright dated July 29, 1992: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Doug WrightlDDirector <br />Emergency Services <br />DATE: July 29,92 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Biomedical Equipment Services <br />Agreement with Physio -Control <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein <br />be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners <br />at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />In October, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners authorized a <br />Biomedical Equipment Services Agreement with Physio -Control to <br />repair and maintain the Lifepac equipment on board the emergency <br />transport Advanced Life Support vehicles.
