ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />and authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />Developer's Agreement with Indian Beach Associates, <br />as recommended by staff. <br />SAID AGREEMENT <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION MEETING <br />Chairman Eggert announced that the Legislative Delegation <br />would meet in November, and if any Board member has a subject that <br />should be addressed, it should be relayed to the Chairman or the <br />County Attorney by August 28. <br />COUNTY COMMISSION DISTRICT IV SEAT <br />Chairman Eggert recounted that the Board discussed asking the <br />Governor to appoint the winner of the District IV race to the <br />vacant seat to serve out the balance of Gary Wheeler's term. She <br />asked whether the Board would authorize her to write a letter to <br />the Governor requesting the appointment of John Tippin. All the <br />Board members indicated agreement. <br />1991 POST ENUMERATION SURVEY FIGURES TO ADJUST THE 1990 CENSUS <br />CALCULATIONS <br />Commissioner. Bowman reported that Representative Jim Bacchus <br />is urging the use of Post -Enumeration Survey Figures, which would <br />give our state 347,000 additional population. This would increase <br />our funding from Medicare and government grant monies. <br />Commissioner Bowman urged the Board to support this movement. <br />ON MOTIONT--by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED- by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />approved that letters should be written to the <br />Director of the Census Bureau urging that they use <br />the 1991 Post -Enumeration Survey Figures instead of <br />the original 1990 census figures. <br />57 <br />BOOK 11 f'A�t:•�e <br />U0 R,X 92 <br />
