Commissioner Bowman didn't want this to go beyond I-95. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />layout, surveying, design and cost estimations for <br />the above projects and authorized the expenditure of <br />up to $25,000 for surveying services, as recommended <br />by staff. <br />DEVELOPER'S AGREEMENT WITH NANCY MOON FOR UTILITY OVERSIZING <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/17/92: <br />DATE: <br />AUGUST -17, 1992 <br />TO: <br />JAMES E. PINTO <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILIT )/SERVICES <br />PREPARED <br />WILLIAM McCAIN <br />AND STAFFED <br />CAPITA GINEER <br />BY: <br />DEPAR F UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: <br />DEVELOPERS AGREEMENT WITH NANCY MOON FOR UTILITY <br />OVERSIZING <br />BACKGROUND <br />On October 18, 1990, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />study/predesign of sewer collection systems for the area bounded on the <br />east and west by the Indian River and U.S. #1, and bounded on the north <br />and south by Brevard County and the Indian River Drive/ U.S. #1 <br />intersection. This study been completed and accepted by this <br />Department. The attached exhibit depicts the service area where the <br />Moon property is located; also shown on the exhibit are existing, <br />proposed and current projects under design by the Utilities Department <br />in this area. <br />As can be seen in this exhibit, the County, by entering into this <br />developers agreement, is taking advantage of a prime opportunity to <br />work with a developer to expand and complete its sewer collection <br />system. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The cost associated with the joint portion of this project is <br />$13,210.00. (For a list of shared project items see Exhibit A). As <br />shown on Exhibit A of the attached agreement, the developer's portion <br />of this cost is 6% or $792.00, leaving the County's portion of the <br />project at $12,417.00. <br />43 <br />
