ARTICLE 21 <br /> WORKING OUT OF CLASSIFICATION <br /> 21.01 An employee required to work temporarily at a rank higher shall receive $30.00 per day <br /> ($60.00 per shift)for the period of time the employee actually works(excluding any periods <br /> of leave)worked out of classification. Solo Paramedic and ALS lead are not classifications. <br /> To qualify for working out of classification pay, the employee must work in a higher <br /> classification for a minimum of eleven(11)consecutive hours. On-duty qualified employees <br /> whose name appears on the eligibility list(where one exists) for promotion to the next rank <br /> shall be chosen first to work out of classification. Employees having completed six (6) <br /> months of their promotional trial period may work out of classification if qualified by the <br /> Training Department. <br /> 21.02 Employees will be required to work out of classification if qualified when directed by the <br /> department. <br /> 38 <br />
