separately. Use only the amount of water necessary for a workable mix. <br />Use of excess water is detrimental to performance. <br />b. Finish --mix with a clean, rust -free high speed mixer to a uniform <br />consistency. A small amount of water may be added to adjust <br />workability. Limit addition of water to amount needed to achieve the <br />finish texture. <br />C. Mix only as much material as can readily be used. <br />d. Do not use anti -freeze compounds or other additives. <br />2.06 FASTENERS <br />A. Roofing Nails: 11 or 12 -gauge stainless ring shank roofing nails with diamond point, <br />minimum 3/8" diameter head and 1-1/4" length. <br />B. Screws: #12 stainless steel hex or pan head screws with length to penetrate substrate a <br />minimum of 1-1/2". <br />C. Concrete and Masonry Anchors: 1/4" diameter metal based expansion anchor with <br />stainless steel pin of length to penetrate substrate a minimum of 1-1/2". <br />D. Washers: Shall be stainless steel with neoprene gasket backing. Shall be 9/16" diameter <br />for use with #12 screws and 5/8" diameter for use with 1/4" diameter concrete and <br />masonry anchors. <br />E. Rivets: #44 stainless steel rivets with stainless steel mandrel. Length of rivet to properly <br />fasten particular sheet metal components. Rivets shall be factory painted to match <br />adjacent sheet metal. <br />2.07 RELATED MATERIALS <br />A. Compressible Insulation: Un -faced friction -fit fiberglass building insulation, cut to fit <br />from 3-1/2"x 15"x48" batts. <br />B. Sealant: One -component elastomeric gun grade polyurethane sealant conforming to <br />ASTM C 920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, and use NT, M, A, G, or O as required by <br />substrate conditions. Color to match adjacent materials. <br />C. Silicone Sealant: Shall be a one -component, non -sag, neutral cure, low -modulus, UV <br />resistant, high performance silicone sealant. Shall meet ASTM C 920, Type S, Grade <br />NS, Class 100, Use M, G, A or O. Color to match adjacent materials. <br />D. Sealant Tape: Minimum 1/2" wide non -skinning butyl sealant tape. <br />E. Backer Rod: Closed -cell polyethylene or polyurethane rods sized approximately 25% <br />larger than joint opening. <br />F.
