Powder coating — Has a special color been selected? The successful bidder will provide a color
palette from the manufacturer and a color will be selected from that pallet. No non-standard
colors will be used. The goal is to match the existing color scheme of the building.
if someone were to propose a different operator from what is provided in the specifications,
would this have to come from a contractor and be done prior to bidding? Yes, there is a
provision in the contract docs spells out how that works.
What is the actual address on this site? 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach FL. 32960
Will construction fencing be required? No. It is not on the site plan.
Additional discussion items:
Rich Szpyrka stated that the project location is high profile and high volume of pedestrian
traffic, so dust creation particularly during concrete cutting and demolition must be kept to a
minimum. Contractor will need to have dust control. Contractor may contact the City to get
access to water if needed. The County will be monitoring and enforcing this.
Contractor will be responsible for a concrete washout site, due to existing site conditions,
Contractor will need a concrete dumpster. No washout will be allowed on the street,
Contractor will need to make provisions for a proper concrete wash out facility.
The existing trellis structure is to remain un -touched and un -damaged. The Contractor shall be
responsible for repair or replacement. The trellis was built when the Courthouse Building was
built in 1995.
Contractors are required to provide a pre -construction video, per Section 01215 General
Quality Control of the Bidding Documents. Rich Szpyrka suggested that it is in the Contractor's
best interest of self-protection to ensure that the pre -construction video is as detailed as
possible due to the location and nature of the project.
This is a City street, not County so City inspectors may also be present.
Contractor will not be allowed to work or stage on the northside of the existing north
wall.
Mike Jenkins, Indian River County Facilities Management will be on site daily. Contractor shall
coordinate with him to enter restricted areas of the building.
ATTACHED:
Sign in Sheet
Submittal Package for SlideDriver 55VF2/3
Specifications for SlideDriver 50VF2/3
F:\Public Worls\ENGtNEERNG DIVISION PROJECTS\1621 IRC Courthouse Judges Security Upgrades\t-Admin\Meetings\Pre-Bid
Meeting\IRC-1621 Pre -Bid Meeting Minutes.doc
