BROWN <br />17-0925 <br />Attachments: Budget Overview <br />Through the use of a PowerPoint Presentation, County Administrator Jason Brown <br />announced that the fiscal year (FY) proposed budget for the County is <br />$328,340,393, a decrease of $18,072,278 from the March 31, 2017 Budget. He <br />further explained that the Budget was still an increase of approximately $20 million <br />over the original 2016-2017 Budget of $308,029,307. <br />Administrator Brown highlighted the major impacts to the Budget for FY <br />2017-2018, which included a tax roll increase of 7.6% Countywide; additional <br />operating costs for Fire Rescue Station 14; increases in health insurance monthly <br />contributions; position increases for BCC and Constitutionals; an increase in the <br />funding for Children's Services, the Senior Resource Association and the Sheriff s <br />Office; the construction of Landfill Cell II; as well as the addition of five (5) <br />positions to address building plan review response times and three (3) positions to <br />eliminate single source dependencies in key operational units. <br />5.
