Relief from this hardship may best be accomplished by the <br />immediate enactment of an emergency ordinance deleting the recently <br />added category of real estate agents. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. <br />Section 207.40(5) is amended by the .deletion of the category <br />"Real_ Estate Agents" . <br />SECTION 3. ADMINISTRATION. <br />Any license tax previously paid under Ordinance 92-23 by "Real <br />Estate Agents" is to be refunded. <br />SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or any sentence, paragraph, phrase, or word of <br />this ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, <br />Inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining <br />portions- of this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the <br />legislative intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, <br />invalid or inoperative part. <br />SECTIONS. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />This ordinance shall become effective upon becoming law. <br />Approved and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, on this 22 day of September, 1992.* <br />This. emergency ordinance was not advertised in the Vero Beach <br />Press -Journal for a public hearing which was held on the 22nd day of <br />September, 1992, at which time it was moved for adoption by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by Commissioner Bird, and adopted by <br />the following vote: <br />Chairman Carolyn K.
