Thompson, P.E. <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Indian River Boulevard Phase IV <br />FDOT Ditch R/W <br />DATE: September 15, 1992 FILE: dotditch.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Florida Department of Transportation (DOT) has title to a <br />drainage right-of-way within Grand Harbor. A part of this <br />property lies within the right-of-way of Indian River <br />Boulevard(see attached map). The DOT has agreed to an exchange <br />where they will convey to Grand Harbor all of the land within the <br />drainage right-of-way except that portion lying within the Indian <br />River Boulevard right-of-way in exchange for an alternate <br />drainage right-of-way. The DOT is willing to convey the area <br />within the Indian River Boulevard right-of-way to the County, if <br />it is requested by a formal resolution. <br />The attached resolution requests that the Department of <br />Transportation deed the subject parcel to the County in order to <br />achieve the public purpose of constructing Indian River <br />Boulevard. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Chairman be authorized to execute the <br />attached Resolution. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously_ (4-0, <br />Chairman Eggert -being absent) adopted Resolution 92- <br />179, requesting that the Florida Department of <br />Transportation turn over a parcel of land, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION 92-179, WITH ATTACHED EXHIBITS, <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />54 <br />
