This free program
for low-income families focuses on child and family development and success, utilizes community resources, and
results in every child having the opportunity to reach his/her fullest potential and be kindergarten ready at age 5.
The Early Bird Program-Indian River Academy serves seventeen (17)three and four year old, low income children
S from South Indian River County. The classroom is located in a modular unit on the campus of Indian River
i Academy in Vero Beach (32962). EOC provides materials, activities and experiences that
support a broad range of children's prior experiences, maturation rate, and modalities styles of learning, needs,
Icultures, and interests. Children's progress is tracked using Florida Department of Education Teaching Strategies
Gold Monitoring System. The program is replicable, scalable, and has proven successful in leveraging funding
support and partnerships.
2017044 Page 3 of 26 05/03/2017
