Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final September 20, 2017 <br />There were no proposed changes to the budget. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Chairman Flescher, to <br />approve the budget in the amount of $15,588,761 for the Transportation Fund, and to <br />approve Resolution 2017-095, amending the County Budget Officer's estimates of <br />receipts other than taxes and of balances to be brought forward for Fiscal Year <br />2017-2018 and adopting a final budget for the Transportation Fund. The motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />Emergency Services District <br />D. 17-0980 Proposed millage is 2.3655 and is 8.90% above the rolled back rate of <br />2.1722. The proposed budget is $37,491,634. Open for public <br />comments. Consider any proposed changes to budget. Make a <br />motion to approve millage rate and adopt millage resolution. Make a <br />motion to approve dollar amount and adopt budget resolution. <br />Recommended Action: Open for public comments. Consider any proposed changes to budget. Make a motion <br />to approve dollar amount and adopt budget resolution. <br />Attachments: Emergency Services <br />Chairman Flescher announced that the proposed millage rate is 2.3655 for the <br />Emergency Services District, which is 8.90% above the rolled back rate of <br />2.1722, and the proposed budget is $37,491.634. <br />The Chairman opened the floor for public comments; there were no speakers. <br />No proposed changes were made to the budget. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Chairman Flescher, to <br />approve the millage rate of 2.3655 for the Emergency Services District, which is <br />8.90% above the rollback rate of 2.1722, and to approve Resolution 2017-096 <br />establishing the tax millage rate to be levied upon all real and personal taxable <br />property in Indian River County, Florida, for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 for the Indian River <br />County Emergency Services District.
