Keati3ft, A <br />Community Development Director <br />FROM: Roland DeB1ois,WAICP <br />Chief, Environmental -Planning <br />RE: ROCKRIDGE PROPERTY OWNERS' REQUEST FOR <br />MITIGATION OF LAND CLEARING VIOLATION <br />September 30, 1992 <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their regular <br />meeting of October 6, 1992. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Last year, at their regular meeting on November 5, 1991, the Board <br />of County Commissioners considered the issue of land clearing that <br />was conducted by Louis Schlitt adjacent to a Rockridge Subdivision <br />canal. At that time, homeowners in Rockridge expressed concern <br />that Mr. Schlitt had illegally cleared vegetation from the canal <br />right-of-way (hereinafter referred to as the subject property), <br />thereby eliminating vegetation that served Rockridge residents by <br />buffering noise and visual impacts associated with Indian River <br />Boulevard. <br />16 <br />
