ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ON 66TH AVENUE FROM LAMBETH CITRUS LTD. <br />AND GOLDEN RIVER FRUIT CO. <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated September 24, <br />1992: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator „ <br />THROUGHs James W. Finney, SRA _f � <br />County Right of Way Agent <br />SUBJECTS Additional Right -of -Ways 66th Avenue, Lambeth Citrus, <br />Ltd. and Golden River Fruit Co. <br />DATE: September 24, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />George Lambeth, President of • Golden River Fruit Co., is <br />constructing a new packing house on 66th Avenue between Oslo Road <br />and 5th Street SW. At, this time, Mr. Lambeth and the County staff <br />wish to cooperate on. the paving of a 1/2 mile section of 66th <br />Avenue. To accomplish this joint project, Indian River County <br />needs an additional 40 feet of right-of-way on 66th Avenue. A <br />draft Developer's Agreement is attached to define the obligations <br />of both parties. <br />Based on previous purchases of other AG zoned properties at $10,000 <br />to $15,000 per acre, the following property owners have agreed to <br />sell at $12,500 per acre. - <br />The property owners have executed the contracts and executed the <br />deeds held in escrow as follows: <br />1) Golden River Fruit Co., 23 acre, 15' R -O -W $2,875.00 <br />(and dedicating 5' of additional R -O -W) <br />2) Lambeth Citrus Ltd., .29 acre, 20' R -O -W $3,625.00 <br />3) Lambeth Citrus Ltd., .60 acre, 20' R -O -W $7,500.00 <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />Staff requests the Board accept the three contracts and direct the <br />Chairman to execute the contracts on the Board's behalf. <br />Conceptual approval of the attached Developers Agreement is also <br />recommended. Once all details are resolved, staff will agenda the <br />final agreement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Contracts for Sale and Purchase in the amounts <br />listed, and approved the draft Developer's <br />Agreement, as set out in the above staff memorandum. <br />CONTRACTS FOR SALE AND PURCHASE <br />ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />DEVELOPER'S AGREEMENT WILL BE PLACED ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD WHEN FULLY EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />25 <br />L_ CT 6 1992 BOOK 87 PAGE 790 <br />
