F. Pursuing a Referendum and Utility Authority <br />Regrettably, numerous other significant and time-consuming <br />activities facing the City electric system have precluded meaningful <br />progress on this item. Those additional activities have included, and <br />continue to include: (1) continuing discussions with OUC and evaluating <br />the long-term power supply options available to the City; (2) defending <br />the City's interests before the Florida Public Service Commission in <br />adverse litigation with Indian River County; and (3) considering the <br />implications of the Florida Auditor General's preliminary and tentative <br />audit report regarding FMPA and how the City can act in response <br />thereto so as to best improve FMPA for the benefit of the City, the <br />City's customers, and ultimately all of the retail customers who <br />receive power from FMPA <br />Another Mediation Session <br />As you mentioned at our mediation session on December 17, the <br />City would support having another mediation session with all parties, <br />if the Town and the County would like to have such a meeting.
