Solid Waste Disposal District <br /> The Board reconvened as the Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste <br /> Disposal District. Those Minutes will be approved at an upcoming Solid Waste <br /> Disposal District Meeting. <br /> 15.8.1. 18-1332 Request for General Funds - PACE Project and Other Community <br /> Projects FY2017-18 <br /> Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners authorize up to <br /> $6,000.00 to be donated to various Protocol for Assessing Community <br /> Excellence/illegal dumping(PACE)projects for the sole purpose of paying <br /> associated landfill fees. <br /> Attachments: Staff Report <br /> Letter from Health Department <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher, seconded by Vice Chairman <br /> Solari,to approve staffs recommendation.The motion carried by the following <br /> vote: <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br /> Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br /> 15.B.2. 18-1354 Award of Bid for Recycling at Governmental Buildings and Facilities (Bid <br /> #201810) <br /> Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board award Bid 2018010 to Waste Management Inc. of <br /> Florida and authorize the Chairman to execute the Sample Agreement once it <br /> has been approved by the County Attorney as to form and legal sufficiency. <br /> Staff also recommends approval of a future budget amendment to cover the <br /> additional expense for these services. <br /> Attachments: Staff Report <br /> Sample Agreement <br /> Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke, with the assistance of Himanshu <br /> Mehta, Managing Director for the Solid Waste Disposal District,provided an <br /> analysis of the solicitation of bids to establish fixed pricing for the weekly <br /> collection of recyclables at government buildings and facilities. <br /> Indian River County Florida Page 1 <br />
