The Salvation Army has now requested that .an extension to <br />the site plan approval expiration date be granted. Due to <br />unforeseen construction problems, the Salvation <br />has been <br />unable to commence construction. This project was yoriginally <br />reviewed and approved under the County's old LDR's. Pursuant to <br />Section 23.2(g)(2) of the old County Ordinances, the request for <br />site plan extension may be granted since it was submitted <br />rior to <br />the September 26, 1992 expiration date. The Board of County <br />Commissioners may now act upon this request. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Although County regulations have changed with adoption of the new <br />LDR's, the members of the Technical Review Committee (TRC) concur <br />that the changes as applied to the subject <br />significant enough to require any site plan revisions or redesignroject are • <br />All Technical Review Committee (TRC) staff members have recently <br />signed -off on the applicant's request for site plan extension. <br />As allowed under the provisions of the applicable site plan <br />ordinance, the Salvation Army is requesting a full one year <br />extension of the site plan approval expiration date. Pursuant to <br />the applicable site plan regulations, the Board of County <br />Commissioners may grant, or grant with conditions the re <br />site plan extension. In staff's opinion, the re <br />granted. quest may the <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />Salvation Army's request for a one(1) <br />nsion of <br />approved site plan. The new site pinexpiratioar n date will the he <br />September 26, 1993. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Salvation Army's request for a one (1) year <br />extension of the approved site plan, with a new site <br />plan expiration date of September 26, 1993, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />6 <br />
