The proposed (RS -6) zoning is compatible with all surrounding land <br />uses and is consistent with the comprehensive plan. This rezoning <br />will cause no substantial environmental impacts. <br />For these reasons, staff supports the request to change the zoning. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve <br />this request to rezone the subject property from RM -6 to RS -6. <br />Director Keating advised that a letter of objection was <br />received from one owner of property adjacent to the subject <br />property, who had purchased his property anticipating that the RM <br />property might go commercial in the future. - <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter.
