The proposed (RS -6) zoning is compatible with all surrounding land <br />uses and is consistent with the comprehensive plan. This rezoning <br />will cause no substantial environmental impacts. <br />For these reasons, staff supports the request to change the zoning. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve <br />this request to rezone the subject property from RM -6 to RS -6. <br />Director Keating advised that a letter of objection was <br />received from one owner of property adjacent to the subject <br />property, who had purchased his property anticipating that the RM <br />property might go commercial in the future. - <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. There being none, she closed <br />the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 92-40, amending the ordinance and the <br />accompanying zoning map from RM -6 to RS -6, for the <br />property generally located west of Old Dixie Highway <br />and north of 9th Street. <br />19 <br />Boa 87 ?ArE *32 <br />� OCT 131992 � <br />
