Proclamation Observing Wednesday, November 11 1992 as <br />Veteran's Day <br />Chairman Eggert read aloud the following Proclamation <br />Observing Wednesday, November il, 1992 as Veteran's Day: <br />;P R O C L A M A T I O N, <br />WHEREAS,' Veterans Day gives all Americans a special. <br />opportunity to pay.tribute.to all those men and women -who,- <br />throughout our -history, have left their homes and loved ones <br />to serve their country;. and <br />WHEREAS, on this special day, our hearts and. -thoughts <br />turn to'all County.veterans. With a spirit of pride and. <br />gratitude, let us' recall their heroic accomplishments `and <br />thank them for their unselfish devotion to duty; and <br />WHEREAS, -.in order that we may pay fitting homage to' <br />.`those.men and women who have proudly served 'in our• Armed, <br />;Forces,.the Congress has provided that November 11 of each <br />.year be set aside as a legal public- holiday to honor <br />American's veterans;. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA proclaims Wednesday, November <br />11, 1992 as <br />VETERAN'S DAY <br />and urges all citizens to recognize the valor and sacrifice <br />of our veterans through appropriate public ceremonies and to. <br />encourage participation.in patriotic activities throughout <br />Indian River County.
