B,m.. 8 <br />PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />Proclamation Designating November 7 1992 as Children's Art <br />Festival Day in Indian River County, Florida: <br />Chairman Eggert read aloud the following Proclamation: <br />0 <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />DESIGNATING NOVEMBER 7, 1.992 <br />AS CRII•DRE W S ART FESTIVAL DAY <br />IN INDIAN RIVER. COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, on November 7, 1992, the Children's Art Festival, <br />sponsored by the Center for the Arts, will celebrate its 12th <br />anniversary= and <br />WHEREAS, the theme for this year's festival will be <br />"pARTicipation." This event pzovides the opportunity for <br />hands-on art experiences for young people of a;l ages, <br />preschoolers through teens. The entire family can enjoy the <br />student art displays, entertainment, music and food available <br />throughout the day= and <br />WHEREAS, the reason the Children's Art Festival came into , <br />existence was. because there was a concern by those involved in <br />establishing a Center .for the Arts that the youth of the area <br />were underexposed and given limited opportunities to participate <br />in visual arts activities. Since the inception of the Children's <br />Art Festival twelve years ago, art instruction in the school <br />systems, both public and private, has increased significantly <br />making art -and humanities awareness an enriching part of the <br />lives of the young people in our community: <br />NOW, THEREFORE:, BE 1T PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COP1MISSIONRRS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that November 7, <br />1992 be designated as <br />CHILDREN'S ART FESTIVAL DAY <br />in Indian River County, and the Board expresses its appreciation <br />to the many hard working volunteers for instituting and <br />continuing this fine program for the youth in our community. <br />Adopted this 3 day of November,t1992. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Carol <br />y R: F gg�*bhiairman <br />E <br />
