r FEB 91993 <br />BOOK D ,: <br />RESOLUTION ENDORSING DREDGING OF PORT OF FORT PIERCE <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-33 endorsing dredging of Port of Fort <br />Pierce. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93- 33 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ENDORSING DREDGING OF PORT OF <br />FORT PIERCE. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is located just north of the Port <br />of Fort Pierce; and <br />WHEREAS, proposed dredging to the Port of Fort Pierce will <br />have beneficial effects on the economy in Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears the said improvements can be accomplished <br />with minimal environmental costs, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, • FLORIDA <br />that the -Board supports the dredging to the Port of Fort Pierce <br />because: <br />I. This dredging will have a beneficial on the economy in <br />Indian River County. <br />2. This expansion may be accomplished with minimal <br />environmental costs. <br />3. The high rate of unemployment in Indian River County <br />should be lessened by the strengthening of the economy resulting <br />from said improvements. <br />The resolution was moved to adoption by Commissioner <br />Eggert and the motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Tippin and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Chairman Richard N. Bird Aye <br />Vice Chairman John W. Tippin Aye <br />Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert Aye <br />Commissioner Fran B. Adams Aye ' <br />— Commissioner Kenneth R.
