Cancellation of Taxes on Certain Property Acquired by Indian <br />River County <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/16/93: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: ujl/ William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: February 16, 1993 <br />SUBJECT: Cancellation of Taxes on Certain Property Acquired by Indian <br />River County <br />A resolution has been prepared for the purpose of cancelling any delinquent <br />or current taxes which may exist on the following property acquired by <br />Indian River County for public purpose: <br />Right -of -Way acquired from George G. Collins, as Successor Trustee <br />under Trust Agreement dated December 21, 1973 as amended by Trust <br />Agreement dated April 21, 1975, Amendment dated December 29, 198019 <br />and Second Amendment dated October 5, 1984, which right-of-way is <br />fully described in that Special Warranty Deed recorded in Official <br />Record Book 958, Pages 1754-1755, Public Records of Indian River <br />County, Florida. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolution cancelling certain taxes upon publicly owned lands, and the Clerk <br />to send a certified copy of same to the Tax Collector so that any delinquent <br />or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-38, cancelling certain taxes upon <br />publicly owned lands, pursuant to Section 196.28, <br />Florida Statutes. <br />DEED IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />18 <br />
