PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the Special Olympics Area Fourteenth Spring <br />Games will be held on March 20, 1993 at the South Fork High <br />School in Martin County; and <br />WHEREAS, this annual event will draw approximately 300 <br />special athletes from Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and <br />Okeechobee Counties; and <br />WHEREAS, said special athletes will be competing for <br />awards, recognition, and the right to represent their counties <br />at the State Games, <br />WHEREAS, it is important to all of the community that <br />these special athletes be recognized for their achievements in <br />overcoming great odds to compete in these games, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it Proclaimed by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that <br />March 20, 1993 be designated as <br />SPECIAL OLYMPICS SPRING GAMES DAY <br />in recognition of the great and courageous effort of the <br />participants. and the compassion and commitment of the <br />volunteers who make these games a reality. <br />APPROVED and ADOPTED on March 16, 1993. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />By <br />ICHARD N..
