BOOK <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-68, establishing a Beach and Shore <br />Preservation Advisory Committee. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93- _g <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A BEACH AND $HORE <br />PRESERVATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 161, Part II authorizes Counties to coordinate <br />beach and shore preservation programs; and <br />WHEREAS, an important step in establishing and administering <br />programs of this nature is the creation of an advisory committee to <br />assist the Board of County Commissioners by conducting studies and <br />recommending programs for beach and shore preservation, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE- BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />that: <br />1. ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Indian .River County Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory <br />Committee is hereby established. <br />2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Committee shall have seven voting members appointed by the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />3. TERM OF OFFICE. <br />The term of office of each member shall be two years with the <br />initial appointments staggered so that as near as possible one-half of <br />the committee will serve terms of one year and one-half terms of two <br />years, with eacj member thereafter serving terms of two. years. <br />4. PURPOSE OF THE COMMITTEE. <br />The purpose <br />of <br />the <br />committee <br />shall be to study and recommend <br />courses of action <br />for <br />the <br />Board of <br />County Commissioners to take with <br />respect to any and all matter encompassed by Chapter 161 Beach and <br />Shore Preservation, Florida Statutes. <br />44 <br />89 FSU 48 <br />
