MAR 2 3 1993 <br />BOOK 89 FF!ii. <br />Attorney O,'Brien further explained that a decal will be <br />attached to the signs on all County -owned handicapped parking <br />spaces indicating that the fine is $250, which should help clarify <br />the law. <br />Commissioner Eggert thought we should make those decals <br />available to private property owners who may want to attach them to <br />their signs. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. There being none, he closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 93-10 amending Section 307.02 and adding <br />Section 307.07.1 concerning parking spaces for <br />certain handicapped persons, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />ORDINANCE 83- 10 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA AMENDING SECTION 307.02 AND <br />ADDING SECTION 307.07.1 CONCERNING <br />PARKING SPACES FOR CERTAIN HANDICAPPED <br />PERSONS. <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Code was recently <br />amended by the addition of a new Chapter 307 Traffic; and <br />WHEREAS, the Section 307.02 of said Chapter set forth <br />regulations of public parking spaces for certain handicapped persons; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the regulations in Section 307.02 are more <br />stringent than Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, uniformity between the Indian River County <br />Code and Florida Statutes will preclude confusion in the mind of the <br />public, especially for persons from other jurisdictions, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />that: <br />26 <br />
