SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br />a. Section 307.02 is amended as follows with deletions <br />shown as struck through and with additions underlined: <br />Section 307.02. Public Parkin; spaces for certain <br />handicapped persons. <br />No person shall park any vehicle in any designated handicapped <br />parking space located within the unincorporated areas of Indian River <br />County, Florida, or looted on County owned or leased property <br />unless such vehicle displays a parking permit issued pursuant to <br />Sections -316.1958 or 320.0848, Florida Statutes or a license plate <br />pursuant to Sections 320.084, 320.0842, 320.0843 or 320.0845, Florida <br />Statutes, and such vehicle is 160 11*00A 16t transporting a <br />1441"1616¢d person eligible for such parking permit. Any person <br />who is chauffeuring a j iAifUP160d disabled person shall be allowed, <br />M Of without need for a parking permit or special license plate, <br />momentary parking in a designated handicapped parking space for the <br />purpose of loading or unloading the handicapped person. <br />b. A new section 307.07.1 is added to read as follows: <br />Section 307.07.1 Disposition of Penalties. <br />SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, sentence, paragraph, phrase, or word of <br />this ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, <br />inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining <br />portions of this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the <br />legislative intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, <br />invalid, or inoperative part. <br />SECTION 3.
