MAS r <br />BOOK 89 F, cF 17 <br />The second work authorization is for the development of an industrial <br />pretreatment ordinance as outlined in our current master plan revision. <br />The proposed ordinance will accomplish the following: <br />1) Establish pretreatment limits for common contaminants <br />associated with potential commercial/industrial development. <br />2) Establish procedure for issuing local permits or agreements <br />to industrial discharges. <br />3) Set requirements for compliance monitoring. <br />4) Draft final pretreatment ordinance. <br />(See attached Work Authorization Nos. 1 and 2.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />The original contract with Brown and Caldwell allowed for the addition <br />of continuing services as outlined above (see attached original <br />contract, agenda item and meeting minutes). Work Authorization No. 1 <br />(Master Plan Continuing Services) is proposed with an upper limit of <br />$30,000.00 for 1993. Work Authorization No. 2 (Industrial <br />Pretreatment Ordinance) is proposed with an upper limit of $10,300.00, <br />which is in line with the scope of services for this project. Funding <br />for Work Authorization Nos. 1 and 2 will be from the impact fee fund as <br />required. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Work Authorization <br />Nos. 1 and 2 with Brown and Caldwell, as submitted. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />Work Authorizations No. 1 and No. 2 with Brown and <br />Caldwell, as recommended by staff. <br />WORK AUTHORIZATIONS NO. 1 AND NO. 2 <br />ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />PRELIMINARY OFFICIAL STATEMENT FOR $50 MILLION BOND ISSUE <br />County Attorney Charles Vitunac explained that this resolution <br />is necessary preliminary to issuance of what may be a $50 million <br />bond issue for Utilities. As noted in the resolution, the blanks <br />in the Preliminary Official Statement will be filled in after the <br />closing and we then will have the Official Statement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-73 pursuant to Rule 15c2-12 of the <br />Securities and.
