r MAR 3 4 193 <br />BOOK 09 PACE <br />Chairman Bird asked the Commissioners to give any further <br />ideas for discussion items to Administrator Chandler. <br />REPLACEMENT FOR EXECUTIVE AIDE LIZ FORLANI <br />Chairman Bird advised that five people applied for the <br />position of Executive Aide. Resumes were received from four <br />existing county employees and one who is not. He felt the question <br />before the Board today is how to proceed with making a final <br />selection since this person will be working directly for and under <br />the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Tippin felt the way to proceed is to review the <br />resumes, rank them 1-5, and interview the top two or three <br />candidates. <br />Commissioner Eggert cautioDed that April 1 is almost here and <br />Mrs. Forlani is leaving April 30. <br />The Board agreed that the procedure would be to rank the five <br />applicants, have them tabulated by Mrs. Forlani, and review the <br />_ results at next Tuesdays meeting. <br />NEW COUNTY COURTHOUSE - INDOOR AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/26/93: <br />DATE: MARCH 26, 1993 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTO <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT <br />INDOOR AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Due to the enormous amount of concern and possible liability involved <br />with the subject project in relation to "Sick Buildings", the <br />Courthouse Committee, on February 12, 1993, recommended a Indoor Air <br />Quality Consultant be employed to review all plans and specifications <br />of the subject project. The consultant would make recommendations, <br />if needed, to help insure the new courthouse would not suffer with <br />indoor air quality problems. <br />6 - -- <br />
