BOOK S9 FACE 5i9 <br />MAY i 11993 <br />Director Boling agreed there is justification for increasing <br />the minimum parcel size, because destination resorts need to have <br />a large enough setting to have amenities. <br />Chairman Bird stressed that we should not mislead ourselves <br />into believing that we will ever see any more of the type of <br />development that Disney is proposing if we put in the requirement <br />that it has to be connected to commercial zoning. <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that we are not misleading <br />ourselves. <br />Commissioner Tippin was not worried that development will get <br />out of hand, even though a lot of short-term rental is going on in <br />residential areas. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, to direct staff to develop <br />criteria consistent with good planning and zoning <br />laws based on non -conversion, coupling with <br />commercial, and minimum property size. <br />Under discussion, Chairman Bird requested that staff present <br />the proposed changes to the Board for consideration before we go <br />through the lengthy public hearing process. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />CR -512 ELECTRIC UTILITY RELOCATION <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated May 3, 1993: <br />54 <br />
